Naming molecular compounds

Molecular compounds occur between non-metal and from a covalent bond.

In molecular compounds a prefix is used to indicate the number of each atom present.

**If there is only one of the first element, we omit the prefix but if there is only one of the second element we add the prefix**

Examples:
CO – Carbon Monoxide
CS2 – Carbon disulphide
