Soliloquy vs. Aside

Similarities

Both, a soliloquy and an aside, are a speech, in which a character reveals his emotions and opinions. It is intended to be heard by the audience.

Differences

Soliloquy: the speaker is alone on the stage.
Aside: the speaker is not alone on the stage, and the speech is intended to be heard by the audience, but not others characters on the stage.
