Three main objectives of advertising


Inform

-         Tell you about the product, its features, its unique attributes, how it works and how to use effectively.
-         Useful to promote a new product or suggest new uses for an existing one

Persuade

-         Try to convince you to buy one particular company’s product or service instead of the competitor’s product.
-         Use emotions as love, pride or fear.
-         Use celebrities.

Remind

-         Many ads are designed to keep the product visible to the public. It is called institutional advertisement.
-         Main purpose is to promote goodwill for the company.
